Description

We got this Champion 75531i Portable Inverter Generator for our RV this past week. Then the generator started on the second pull. We are using mid-grade gas and the best oil we could get for it.

I started off by breaking it in. First, run it for one hour no load then put a 700-watt load on it for an hour then move it up to a 1400 watt load with a floor heater for an hour. We will add a detailed review soon. In the meantime, you can read some of our other generator reviews too.

Decent Inverter Generator. This Champion Inverter Generator is decent and quieter compared to our old 1800 watt standard generator. It even ran our RV at 3000′ elevation (including A/C) without too much difficulty.

What they don’t tell you (and this is true of ALL generators) is that the rating as advertised is for sea level to about 500′. If you live or camp at higher elevations you will not get the rated power so take that into account when making a purchase.

Dont overlook this generator!!! I bought this generator to power our 27 foot travel trailer when dry camping. I did a lot of research to determine what our power needs were and was hung up on having to have a Honda. What drew me to this generator was the remote start feature and not having to use any adapters or cables to plug in. Out first two trips were enough to fall in love with this generator the first being a storm rainy trip where the remote start was a life saver not requiring me to go outside and the second a hot day in which this generator power my 15k BTU A/C perfectly! I highly recommend this generator to those looking for something affordable for their RV that runs a 30 amp service you wont be disappointed!

Ease of use. After our recent hurricanes I bought a Champion so I can continue my independent living despite my days in a power wheelchair and use of medical equipment at night. My son and I positioned the generator on my front porch, followed the simple set up instructions for oil, gas and battery hook ups then I pushed the start button and this baby fired up on the first try. I ran it for the specified 5 hours, changed the oil ( you really DO need to do this!) and it was ready for one of our 12 hour to 5 day power outages. I’m a 67 year old female and once pulled into place, I can operate this electric start generator myself .

Best Bang for the Buck. Just purchased this to run our 25′ travel trailer when we don’t have access to hookups and for NASCAR weekends at the track. Runs everything in the camper including the 13,500btu Dometic air conditioner. Not as quiet as my buddy’s brand ‘H’ EU3000, but not unacceptable.

Excellent value. Originally bought this for dry camping and it did the job. First real use was when we went north after Matthew last year and due to road closures we stayed at a couple different WalMarts and it ran everything including the 15,500 ac. Even though it could run the fridge I kept it and the water heater on propane. Also, it struggles with both the ac and microwave so I shut the ac off briefly when I used the microwave. But the real test came recently with Irma as our house lost power. We plugged in the refrigerator, 8000 btu portable air conditioner, and charged our phones and laptops and had at least 3 lamps on at a time. With all this, it ran just under 9 hours before running out of gas. I ran 89 octane non-ethanol gas so I’m sure that made a difference.

I am happy with this unit so far. Start first pull,. I put gas and oil in unit and it started first pull. It ran excellent for a week of camping and ran the AC and trailer in auto with no issues. We kept unit next to trailer and it was quite enough to watch tv and talk with little effect.

Absolute Champion. I needed a generator that could run a 15k RV ac, a friend recommended this model to me! I love the fact that it has a 30amp rv plug-in! I can pick it up by myself however someone thats on the smaller side may need help!

GREAT LITTLE YELLOW GENNY. Review of my (USA) Champion 3100/2800 watt surge/run inverter generator. Delivery was Aug 15, 2019. I ran it for 5hrs per manual for break in. The oil was changed out & PR full synthetic was used until next svs req. We took our genny down to our RV & tried various power items in the unit. Our RV has a 50amp plug so a 30amp dogbone was used to attach it to the genny. We ran various items, then the big test. We switched off items in the panel box & started “1” AC unit. We ran this for over 30mins. This unit ran the AC but is NOT recommended it you want the unit to last. I was surprised it started & ran the AC but this was only a test. We have a larger unit we could use for power hungry items. Im very happy with it’s performance thus far. My only knocks on this unit would be for lack of fuel gauge, hr meter & output display. So this receives 4 of 5 stars. I did install my own hr meter to help me remember svs times… They sell nice covers too !!!

Fantastic product, plenty of power. Bought this to run AC and power in travel trailer. AC is 13,500 BTU and this runs it no problem. Easy to load in truck as well, good wheels and handle. Auto shut off if oil is low is a nice back up if you forget to check it. Starts every time with one or two pulls. Very happy I bought this instead of a more expensive red competitor.

Best little generator around for the money. I bought this generator to run my camper. Had to buy a quiet one due to noise restrictions where we camp. I was very impressed with the price, ease to start and use, functionality, and quietness of this mighty little generator. I’m very impressed and foresee it lasting me years to come. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
