Westinghouse WGen7500 Portable Generator Review
We bought Westinghouse WGen7500 Portable Generator. This is an Amazing generator with great customer service. We purchased this generator in response to the “Bomb Cyclone,” which was to be followed by several days of -6 degree temps. If the worst happened, We would have to drain the house pipes and hope that was enough to keep damage from the house. This generator would not have arrived within the two days that would have handled that emergency, but it did arrive ten days later. We will add a detailed review soon. Great Generator! I bought one two months ago and I have a great experience. Everything arrived OK. Tech information is enough to operate it. Less noisy than other generators. It has the power I need. I used it with gasoline and put up 2 air conditioning (24.000 BTU y 12.000 BTU), a refrigerator, 2 TV and more than 10 light bulb. It works great!. I fully recommend it.

Reliable Back-up Power! Bought this WGen7500DF just a month ago even though I had been searching for a reliable back-up power for a few months. As soon as it was available I ordered it. Shipment got delayed due to winter conditions. Setup was relatively easy even though the user manual had inconsistent information on numbering parts (the remote pairing button instruction said #17 but it was actually #19 in the picture). So far it has performed as expected but a little noisier than I expected, but acceptable. I haven’t tried running it on propane yet.
With the planned blackouts in Northeastern California by PG & E it makes sense to get this generator and it makes us sleep better knowing we can keep our essential appliances working.

Prepared. I bought the 7500 DF for peace of mind as a homeowner. Transfer switch was installed and the generator arrived right on time. Unboxing, assembly,, trash removal and test run in under an hour with 1 person. Assembly was a breeze and fired up on the first push of the remote button!

Bought this Westinghouse dual fuel 7500DF generator and i’m very very happy with it. the licensed electrician that installed the transfer switch tested the generator using gas and propane and everything was good up to specs. Now I have the peace of mind that my family has a back up power generator. hey hurricane Isaias I’m ready!

Excellent all around. I was tired of losing power after the last storm and wanted a generator to run almost the entire house. This unit fit the bill. The dual fuel allows me to run propane when the gas stations have no power for the pumps or regular gasoline. The auto start is intuitive as long as you remember to keep the battery charged periodically. If not there is a manual pull cord. Assembly took only a few minutes and the unit has a small foot print for the power of the unit. With any luck this was an investment I will never have to use, but if I do I know I have the proper equipment.

Just opened and set it up–seems to work well. Product appears to work as advertised. There was some damage to the fuel tank that appears to have happened at the factory as the roll bars would prevent this type of damage in shipping. This is the reason for the lower rating.
It’s A Beast! This has lots of features and information. I love that each connection has a cover and a breaker. I love that its super easy to turn on with and without the remote start.
Came with Oil, oil funnel. I know that this Generator will keep me with power when I need it most. Best investment!
Big Bang For Your Buck! I love it’s push to start feature and it has a remote control. It has a lot of ports to run extension cords. Very attractive design and comes with a bag to cover it when it isn’t in use. It has wheels so it’s easy to transport from storage to use area. I purchased it mainly for use during next hurricane season. Can’t say I cant wait to use it but I’ll be prepared to use it whenever the time comes.
Big boy. Purchased this generator and am happy with it so far. First one I recieved had shipping damage and Westinghouse support helped me get that one exchanged and a new one shipped to my house within a week. Product came with all the bells and whistles as advertised. Only had to assemble a couple of wheels and the legs underneath. Added the oil that was provided, added gasoline, and it started right up. I got the dual fuel, so I tested the propane as well. It worked great also. So far I am prettt happy with the generator.
Great Generator. This generator is far more than I expected. The duel fuel option is a nice feature. I will be using the propane. Good price. It’s a nice looking generator. Has wheels to roll it around. It’s as loud as I expected. Not too loud. Liking the remote start. Came quick! Thanks
Easy to use. Awesome generator. Was super easy to set up and it fired up on the first pull. (Battery needs to charge).
It’s also very “quiet” for the size.

So far so good. I purchased this about 2 weeks ago d/t my power constantly going out. Able to power all that I need during the outages & not too noisy. Easy assemble & operating .
Easy to start. A well designed machine that is reliable and easy to use. We were having difficulty with our propane tank and it was nice to be able to easily switch it to gasoline.
Saved the Day! I bought my generator on September 1 and we had a Nor’easter today which took out the power. I had my electrician set up our electrical box so I could plug the generator in to run the whole house. It worked like a charm.
Easy Start/ Set up. Once everything is put together it runs fantastic!!! Definitely read the instructions to make sure you add gas, oil, hook up battery, and make sure you turn on the fuel valve on before turning it on!! Tested it out with the electrician and it worked great!

It rolls beautifully on wheels and can run on either propane or gasoline. The safety gauges give us peace of mind that we’re starting and running our generator correctly.

Excellent Machine. Just got mine today, everything was packaged nicely and the machine is exactly as described. Wheels have bearings in them which is a big plus, and it has remote start too!

There was minimal assembly and set up, purchase included a quart of (oil to be added). Cool features including remote and push button start. Great purchase. Great generator. Purchased online at Walmart for 799.00. Couldn’t pass up that price. Went back to order another and the price was right back up to 1299.00. Not sure what happened but this thing runs my house just fine. A transfer switch makes it simple. Remote start duel fuel starts right up.
